Our Old/New Fridge

With our budget to decorate our house we were lucky enough to get a 20 year old fridge from Brady's parents. Now being this old the white was turning yellow and the ice doesn't work. Instead of buying a new fridge since it still works we painted it with chalk board paint! so for ten dollars and a few hours of work we have an awesome newish fridge.

5 years

Brady and I have been together for 5 years now. We started went on our first date February 18Th 2006. This was my senior year of high school and Brady has been out of school for about a year. We were introduced to each other by means of Maceys, Emily and Bradys uncle Bill. Bill and Brady were at a family party chatting about Maceys, Emily had transferred up to the Pleasant Grove Maceys where Brady was working and Bill asked if he liked working with Emily and if he thought she was cute Brady said yes to both and Bill then said if you think she is cute you should meet her younger sister Becca. So at work Brady and Emily were talking and Emily gave him my number, so Brady texted me.

His texed said "is this Rebecca", and on my side I was on a date and sick of people texting me where I didn't have there number so I said "This is Becca who is this?" and history takes over from there. Random thing we have seen each other every day from our first date till now except ten days not bad for five years. So this year I decided to make a shadow box with things from our first year until we got married.

Top Shelf: we went to my senior prom together. The white paper that has talley marks, the first day we met was Feb 15 Brady came down to visit me at work there was a bad storm making the radio do the same songs over and over so I was keeping track. The pack of cards was from the same day since it was a day after valentines day they were clearincing them out so we played that game on my brake.

Next shelf: The little book was something I made in young womens and I filled it out with things that I love about Brady. The ring was one I would wear while we were dating to pretend that we were engaged I loved that ring but didn't like that the ring didn't connect to make a circle. Brady took this ring and designed the ring I now wear now. I will be putting a small toy mustang to represent the one he had when we started dating.

Wedding invitation explains it's self. The book we were in a book store and he picked it up and started reading it to me, I had a gift card so we bought two copies of the book and wrote a nice note to each other. The silver dollar was given to me by my father in law on the day we got married its a family tradition. Brady's grandpa gave one to Brady's mom on there wedding day and said if you keep this you will always have money. So Gary gave this to me saying the same thing.

The bottom shelf is full of tickets that we went to in the first year, the cool one is we have the first movie ticket from our first date. We went to Fire Wall and didn't see the movie at all...because we talked the whole time.

Valentiens Days trip

We weren't planning anything big for valentines day but I decided with how stressed Brady has been with work that we could take a really quick trip to St George. Brady's grandpa hasn't seen the baby yet and Brady has been saying we needed to go down, so after he got off work at midnight I told him as a surprise that we are going to St. George. I had everything packed and we jumped in the car and drove. We got to St. George at 5am so we stopped at walmart and got a few things we needed, I'm sure the workers were wondering what we were doing at five in the moring with a baby. ( I know I think that at 3am when I'm at Maceys) We then went to the McDonald's parking lot to use their free wifi to book a hotel. We then headed out to Zions but on our way found out it would be 25 for a park entrance fee and decide it wouldn't be worth it so we went back to visit his Grandma at work. She is one of those cute sample ladies at Costco. I had called to tell them we were coming down but his Grandpa hadn't heard my name so they knew someone was coming down but not who, so that was kinda a fun surprise. We then made plans for dinner after she got off work and we went to snow canyon it was beautiful. We took a hike and explored a little. Then went back to the hotel and went swimming and cleaned up for dinner. We went to dinner at this cute Mexican restaurant and got to visit with Brady's Grandparents it was fun to get to know them better. We made plans for breakfast Monday before we made the trip home. We feel asleep pretty fast once we got back to the hotel from all of our travels. Then we went to breakfast and headed home. We got home with enough time for Brady to take a nap before he had to go to work at 4pm. It was a fast trip but we got that nice break from the daily grind.

Titan's Baby Blessing

Titan's baby blessing was 2/6/2010 Brady did the blessing and he did a great job, it made me cry. He later told me that he had kinda planned what to say and what he said in the blessing was not even close so the sprit had let the whole blessing. I'm so grateful for my wonderful husband who could give our baby a special blessing. We had food after at the house and invited friend and family to come. I was a little stressed about how many people who would be in the house but it turned out to be comfortable. Thanks to all that came and helped on that special day.

My New Best Friend

Sorry to all of my old best friends but you'll have to move over for my new best friend. If your nice about the change maybe I will share my new best friend with all of you. My new best friend is diet coke, diet dr. pepper and diet pepsi with lime. I know it is sad to have a realationship with something you consume, we all saw what mcdonalds did to me a few months ago. This relationship however has helped me lose ALL the BABY weight and i'm not sure I could have done it alone. With all of those late night shifts having a brand new baby and being tired the "diets" helped me keep my sanity so for all of you looking for a new friend I would recomind the "diets" to be part of your life.
