Titan Robert Summers

Our little Titan decided that October would be the best month for his birthday, guess he wanted to be like his daddy who loves having his birthday in October. We were able to bring him home Sunday October 31st and It has been fun so far but we have only had one night of being home so far we shall see how it goes. Now on to the whole story of how it all happend, if you dont want to know I would skip this section. Dont worry it wasn't bad.
It all started early saturday October 30th at 2 am, I had three fears when it came to having a baby, Number 1 going into labor alone (with Bradys work schedul that wouldn't be to hard) Number 2 going into labor in the night, Number 3 having my water break ( I just really didnt want to make a mess anywhere) So as luck would have it all three of my fears happend, and to my suprise it wasn't bad at all. My water broke at 2 am with a little pop, I got up to go to the bathroom not being sure exactly what the pop was, that is when I felt my first gush of fluid. It only got my pants wet so my floor is still clean!! I didn't get any contractions at that point so I tried to go back to sleep but was far to excited for that. Brady had just got off work at 2am and had about an hour drive home so I decided to call him. He knew exaclty what my call ment at that hour why else would I call him. Once he got home we chated for a bit and I decided to eat since I wouldn't be able to eat for awhile. The we decided to try and get some rest since I still hadn't had any contratctions. I sent a text off to my boss since I was supposed to be at work that morning letting him know that I wouldn't make it in. I kinda slept on and off till six when the contractions started. I tried to time them but they were all over the place so I just decided to take a shower knowing I had a long day ahead of me. I called my doctor at seven to see what he wanted me to do. He said to go ahead and come on in to the hospital. I woke Brady and he showered and we stopped to get him some breakfast. We got to the hospital at about eight. They took us into the treeagie room to make sure my water had broken and everything else they check to make sure your read to go. We spend quite a bit of time in there because the test that would tell if there was amniatic fluid being released wasn't working. I was dialated to a 3 and effaced to 90 percent. While we were waiting my contractions got worse and they emited me at about 1130. They had the annisitoligist come in to place my epidural almost as soon as I got to the room. That worked out to be very nice timing because when my contrations started getting really bad the drugs kicked in. So I am lucky to say that for me the contractions never got to the point of scaring me from having more children. So then we played the waiting game for me to fully dialate so we could start pushing. They also started me on Pitocin to help contracts go faster and that turned out to be to much and they turned it off because it was speeding me up to much, next time I think I'll opt out on not having the patocin in I dont really need it. That only took at few hours and we watched never been kissed good movie. At 320 we stared pusing with the nurse, the doctor came at 345 and we just had a pushing party. The doctor said that it took most first time moms two hours to push the baby out so my goal was to be faster than that. With pushing from start to finish it took 1 hour and 10 min!! ya us!! He had alot of the "cheese" skin cover on him since he was two weeks early. He was 6lbs 10 oz 18 inches long born at 4:32 10-30-10. We stayed at the hospital for just under 24 hours from the time he was born. I loved all the ladies at the hospital that helped me out it was a very nice stay and we are so lucky to have out little guy!
