For Lori’s 50th birthday we as an extended Summers family went to Florida to party, and boy do they party hard.![]()
We flew straight there so that it a bit less stressful for me flying with a two year old and a 3 month old. They both were champs on the flight out. We bought a double stroller for the great big adventure and it was worth it.
We landed fairly late Thursday night and did drive thought dinner. We rented a mini van with Gary and Lori, saved us the stress of trying to navigate hope they didn’t regret it with the crying babies. As a family we all rented a house for the first half of the vacation. I really liked it because we got to spend a lot of time together outside of just the amusement parks. Titan and Uncle Carter shared a room, I was a bit nervous that he would be to excited to sleep with Carter there but we tired him out enough every night that it wasn’t to bad.
He even slept in a twin (he has a toddler bed right now) and didn’t roll out, I rolled up a beach towel and put it under the sheet I think it did the trick.

For Reagan I thought it would be fun to make here princess dresses for every day we were at Disney. The first one is Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Tina. I made them up so if your could guess any of them good on you. The picture with Malan is the only princess we found, but lets be honest I didn’t think Reagan would care to see the princess yet at this point so why stress it.
I’m sure this trip will go down in history for many things but the one that I can look back and smile about, but was not enjoyable at the time was Brady and Titan got sick, we think it was the flu. Lizzy had it first then she gave it to Carter then it got passed to Titan who then gave it to Brady. So sickness hit every family. Our day of sickness was Sunday while we were at Epcot. Not the worst park to be stuck sick at. Titan woke up feeling fine, so we thought he threw up for the first time as we pulled into the parking lot. Luckily I had two changes of clothes, after all I had researched a ton for this trip. Then during a ride he couldn’t hold it so I had to change his pants. While that was happening the threw up on the second set of clean clothes. Had to buy him a new outfit, I see the outfit now and love it.
Titan doesn’t cuddle the way he used to, while he was sick I got to cuddle with him. It was cute when he met the chipmunks he was so tired all he did as hug them then sit there.
Here is some of the gang in line for a ride. Gary (grandpa Summers) is holding Titans cousin Alyssa (we have called her Lizzy for so long I have a hard time using her real name) next is Aunt Armanda holding Bailey. Then Grandma Summers is holding Titan.
This toy solder was pretty cool. Titan, Alyssa and Grandma
We also went to Universal Studios they didn’t have a lot for Titans size and even less for caring Reagan.
However the Harry Potter themed area is so cool I loved just walking around looking at everything. While leaving it started to rain. I’ve been told about Florida rain it was crazy. I ran with the stroller from the back of the park to our parking spot. Don’t know if it helped but it was fun.
We learned our lesson and bought rain gear for the next day.
This turned out to be super fun. The ride broke down shortly after we got in line and it had this great play area. I didn’t mind waiting for the ride I think Titan had tons of fun here.
Universal did have some fun water areas, luckily the weather was nice at this point so Titan did a lot of running around.
The vacation with in a vacation was driving down to Clear Water Florida, it was wonderful after a week of running hard at the parks we spent a few sun filled days on the beach.
We did family pictures with a photographer on the beach and the wind was crazy our hair all over the place. Once we order them I’ll post them.
We flew out of Tampa to Georgia then home. My favorite thing about the trip home I was waiting for Brady to bring the car so we could drive home and it was cold so I was trying to get Titans jacket on him and this nice lady got out of her car and asked if I needed any help. I had Reagan in her wrap and was fumbling with his zipper. I asked her to zip it up and she offered us muffins. Only in Utah, thanks for the reminder of why I love this place.
The trip was a blast and super stressful all at the same time, I have a new appreciation for those who travel with children.
